Our Ranch
| We live on 10 acres with irrigated pasture and several barns. In the picture above, the house is in the middle bottom, (red slate roof). The building in the lower right is the Show/foaling Barn. It is 30 x 60 stucco, (cement floor) with a 20 x 60 covered area on the side for the horses to hang out in out of the sun/rain. There are several pens built under it to keep troublemakers separated. In the Show/Foaling Barn are up to 9 stalls. From 7 x 10 to 14 x 10. The big barn in the middle is an enclosed Pole Barn. It is 90' x 90'. (dirt floor) Inside it is my 40 ft. round pen , and assorted other things. (LOL) The little building in front of it is the chicken pen where the geriatric chickens live. The building to the left rear of the Pole Barn is the "cow barn" it is 48 X 48 and has 4 stalls on one side and feed rooms and lounging area for the cows on the other side. Behind the cow barn is a 70 X 80 Arena and behind that is a 80 X 160 Arena. (currently in pasture). To the right of the Pole Barn is my "sort of dry lot" that doubles as a Driving Arena. |
